Scaling tube
The LBTEK zoom tube center bore features SM1 internal and external threads, allowing optical components to be mounted using the included SM1R/SM05R retaining rings. Unlike other rotating opto-mechanical components, the scaling tube incorporates a precise helical mechanism that enables linear translation of the internal lens tube without any rotational movement. This ensures that optical components remain rotationally stable during adjustment, providing precise control over working distances while allowing position locking via side screws. The non-rotating lens tube with SM1 external threads can be directly threaded into opto-mechanical components with SM1 internal threads.
