Coaxial System Cylindrical Lens Mounts
The LBTEK 30 mm and 60 mm Coaxial System Cylindrical Lens Mounts are designed for mounting cylindrical lenses or other rectangular optical components into 30 mm and 60 mm coaxial systems. The mount primarily consists of three main parts: upper and lower sliding arms, a coaxial plate, and two Ø6 mm coaxial posts. The optical component is mounted between the two sliding arms, each of which is lined with a rubber pad and features an edge that conforms to the lens surface for secure lens fixation.
Each sliding arm and the coaxial plate are secured to the Ø6 mm rods using two M3 set screws. The sliding arms and coaxial plate can be independently adjusted and locked. Therefore, when loosening the coaxial plate while tightening the sliding arms, users can translate the lens parallel to the coaxial rods (i.e., in the lateral direction) without affecting other parts of the coaxial system. Additionally, users can reposition the sliding arms from one side of the coaxial plate to the other, enabling switching between left-handed and right-handed configurations based on the application environment.
Furthermore, both sides of the coaxial plate feature scale markings, with primary divisions spaced at 5 mm and secondary divisions at 1 mm. To assist in aligning the optical component coaxially, the central main scale line on the coaxial plate is positioned on the centerline of the coaxial system. Since the cylindrical lens axis is parallel to the sliding arms, coaxial alignment can be achieved by moving the upper and lower sliding arms while comparing their positions with the corresponding scale lines on the coaxial plate.
