Ø12.7 mm Post Holder

The post holders from LBTEK comprise two types: the Ø12.7mm standard post holder and the Ø12.7mm base-type post holder. The difference between them lies in that the Ø12.7mm standard post holder (PH-xxA series) features an M6 tapped through-hole at the bottom, while the Ø12.7mm base-type post holder (PH-xxB series) has an integrated magnetic base and allows full bottom through-access, meeting minimum beam height requirements. They are designed to clamp Ø12.7mm standard posts, with inner wall grooves forming dual-line contact with the post to prevent sliding and rotation. Additionally, the precision-engineered spring-loaded knurled thumb socket set screw (M6) should be tightened to <3.2N·m torque. A 5mm hex key can be used to reinforce the clamping (Note: Excessive torque may cause the locking screw to break. It is recommended to use an L-shaped hex key and gently tighten by holding the short end). The retractable ball heads at the top are made of polyacetal to avoid scratching posts. Furthermore, the PH-xxA series post holder features an M6 tapped through-hole at its base: This allows flexible pairing with either a magnetic base (PR-1S) or a non-magnetic base (PR-1A). It can also be directly used with the PB-x series mount or secured to a breadboard by threading an M6 screw through the post holder from the inside. The PH-xxB series post holder features a stainless steel base with a ring-shaped strong magnet embedded at the bottom, providing strong magnetic holding force for positioning. It can also be used in conjunction with a fixed clamping fork (PHC-45) to achieve flexible installation on an optical table.
