An axicon, also referred to as a rotationally symmetric prism, is a lens consisting of a conical surface and a flat plane. It is commonly used to generate beams with Bessel-like intensity distributions or annular (ring-shaped) beams. When converting a collimated beam into an annular beam, the flat surface of the axicon should face the collimated light source. LBTEK manufactures axicons using UV fused silica, which is suitable for a wide range of applications across ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared spectra. This material offers a low refractive index, low thermal expansion coefficient, high hardness, and excellent performance in harsh working environments. LBTEK offers axicons with two distinct apex angles (α): 2° and 5°. All our axicons are precision-engineered and undergo strict quality control to ensure that customers receive high-quality optical products at reasonable prices. LBTEK's axicons are made of UV fused silica as the substrate material, consisting of a conical surface and a flat plane, capable of transforming an incident collimated beam into a ring-shaped beam. We offer four different apex angles (α) of 2° and 5° to choose from. Each lens features an arrow marked on the edge, pointing toward the conical surface. Additionally, the lenses are coated with an anti-reflection coating for 400 nm-700 nm wavelength range to minimize surface reflection and enhance transmittance.
