Knuckle-Type Base AB90

The knuckle-type base from LBTEK is a high-precision ball hinge mounting stage that enables free spherical motion across the entire hemispherical range. A heavy-duty M6 socket head fixing screw ensures positional stability. This base is suitable for flexible inspection systems (e.g., video or optical microscopes), target positioning, and probing systems, supporting concentrated loads up to 50 kg or cantilever loads up to 20 N·m. The mounting stage features a 5×5 array of M6 tapped holes with 12.5 mm center-to-center spacing. The stage can be rotated to any position with up to 90° tilt relative to the base, while the entire ball hinge mechanism provides 360° rotation around the vertical axis. Laser-engraved graduations are marked at 2° increments with numeric labels every 10°. Note: When locking the stage, first use a 3 mm key to counterclockwise retract the screw at the TENSION position, then use a 5 mm key to clockwise tighten the LOCK screw firmly; when releasing the stage, first use a 5 mm key to counterclockwise retract the LOCK screw, then use a 3 mm key to clockwise tighten the TENSION screw.
