Selecting different incident surfaces can deflect the light path by 90° or 180°. LBTEK right-angle prisms are available in various materials, including N-BK7 and UVFS. Based on the principle of total internal reflection, right-angle prisms can function as either 90° or 180° reflectors, as shown in the diagram above right. When light enters the prism's right-angled surface, it undergoes total internal reflection on the prism's inclined surface and exits from the other right-angled surface, achieving a 90° reflection. When light enters the prism's inclined surface, it undergoes two total internal reflections on the right-angled surface before exiting from the inclined surface parallel to the incident beam, resulting in a 180° reflection of the light path. Furthermore, the resulting 180° deflection is independent of the light's incident angle. In addition to the standard uncoated version, LBTEK also offers three customized broadband anti-reflection coatings: 400 nm-700 nm, 700 nm-1100 nm, and 1100 nm-1700 nm.
