Single-mode pigtail ferrule FSPN-830-8

Fiber Optic Pigtail Ferrule is composed of optical fiber, a micro glass tube, and adhesive. The adhesive is typically a two-component thermosetting epoxy resin with low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and high bonding strength. At the tail where the fiber contacts the micro tube, a soft adhesive is applied to protect the fiber, preventing fracture caused by movement. An 8°-polished facing angle ferrule pigtail, when matched with an 8°-angled lens, directs reflected light from the ferrule and lens end faces away from the fiber core via the angled surface, preventing coupling back into the input fiber core. This results in significantly higher return loss compared to 0°-polished pigtails, making it ideal for applications sensitive to return loss.
