Airy Beam Converters LCAB25-DM-633
LCAB25-DM-633Design Tools
The LBTek Airy Beam Converter is a two-dimensional, first-order optical device fabricated from liquid crystal polymer (LCP) material bonded between N-BK7 glass substrates. The device features a sandwich structure without housing and includes a single-sided 1.5 mm chamfer. In the LCP layer, liquid crystal polymer molecules form a cubic phase distribution, providing uniform half-wave retardation across the entire device plane, making it a single-wavelength component.
The converter produces different beam patterns depending on incident polarization. With circularly polarized input, a single swallow-tailed Airy beam emerges with opposite circular polarization. Linearly polarized light generates two counter-rotating circular polarization Airy beams with opposite orientations and nearly overlapping main lobes.
