For spherical lenses, a given focal length can be achieved with different combinations of surface radii, but each configuration introduces varying levels of spherical error. Best form lenses optimize the radii of curvature on both surfaces to achieve the lowest spherical aberration, making them ideal for use at infinite conjugates. LBTEK Best Form Lenses are manufactured from RoHS-compliant N-BK7 glass, one of the most widely used materials for high-quality optical components. To meet diverse application needs, LBTEK offers both uncoated best form lenses and AR-coated versions optimized for 400–700 nm, 700–1100 nm, and 1100–1650 nm.
