The DEV1100 combines a 1310/1550 nm OTDR with a 1550 nm phase-sensitive Φ-OTDR to pick out a target cable among many. Lightly tapping each cable with the supplied micro-vibration device — no bending or striking — produces a waveform and audio cue that identifies the right one, across 20 test ports.
