Overview

The ED25Q-C-20 is a high-performance engineered diffuser that shapes an incident beam into a well-defined circle spot while homogenizing its intensity profile. A precision micro-structured surface is formed on a Corning 7980 HPFS substrate, giving a 20°±2.0° scattering angle across the 193 nm-2000 nm operating range. The 25.4 mm element is 1.0 mm thick and offers a >92%CA clear aperture, so it can be dropped straight into a standard 25.4 mm mount.

Storage & Handling

Handle the diffuser by its edges and keep the structured surface free of dust and fingerprints; the micro-structure is more delicate than a polished glass surface, so avoid abrasive wiping. When cleaning is unavoidable, blow off loose particles first and then use clean optical-grade solvent with lens tissue. Note the orientation of the structured face when mounting, and store the part in its original container in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight.
