Product Description
- Optical Material: N-BK7
- Operating Wavelength: 400 nm-700 nm (AR Coating)
- Application: Imaging, beam expansion or reduction, convergence
A positive meniscus lens is composed of two surfaces with similar radii of curvature (the concave surface has a larger radius of curvature than the convex surface) and possesses a positive focal length. It is commonly used to reduce the focal length of another lens, increase the numerical aperture, and for related applications. To minimize spherical aberration, when used in beam expansion, beam reduction, or diverging collimated light applications, the beam should be incident on the convex surface of the lens; when used for converging light collimation, the beam should be incident on the concave surface. N-BK7 is the most common lens material, widely used in visible and near-infrared applications. LBTEK selects N-BK7 to manufacture various lenses, all of which are finely processed with strict quality control. LBTEK ensures the provision of high-quality lens products to users at reasonable prices.

The LBTEK Positive Meniscus Lens is primarily used to minimize spherical aberration. When used in combination with another lens, the positive meniscus lens can reduce the focal length and increase the system's numerical aperture (NA) without introducing significant spherical aberration. When converging collimated light, the convex surface of the lens should face the direction of the light source to minimize spherical aberration. All circular lenses from LBTEK can be mounted in LBTEK Standard Lens Tubes, fixed lens mounts, and various coaxial mounting plates. Customers can choose the optimal mounting method for different application scenarios.
