LBTEK single-photon detectors achieve a detection efficiency exceeding 55% at 700 nm wavelength, with dark counts <500 cps and dead time less than 50 ns, designed for fiber optic input. In specific application scenarios, ensure the module's operating temperature does not exceed 50 °C, as excessively high temperatures may cause the APD's operating temperature to rise, leading to increased dark count levels. APDs are highly sensitive photodetection devices; during avalanche mode, the input optical signal intensity should be controlled. Excessive light intensity may damage the APD, potentially reducing its detection sensitivity or, in severe cases, causing diode breakdown.

Key Features

  • Dark count <500 cps (typical value)
  • Saturation count rate >10 Mcps
  • Fiber optic input
