Overview

LBTEK mounts the achromatic half-wave plate in an RM05 rotation mount and assembles it with a broadband linear polarizing beamsplitter cube installed in a 30 mm coaxial cube mount to form a broadband tunable polarizing beamsplitter. The top scribed line indicates the optical path direction, with the fast axis of the waveplate aligned to the 0° scribed line on the rotation mount. The initial position is preset and locked, in which case the waveplate does not alter the polarization direction of the incident light. The included wrench can be used to loosen and rotate the half-wave plate to achieve continuous adjustment of the transmission intensity of the linearly polarized light.
