Overview
High-precision transmissive optical wedge made from UV-grade fused silica (UVFS 7980 OF), offering excellent optical homogeneity, low absorption loss, and good environmental stability across the ultraviolet to near-infrared range. The precisely controlled wedge angle on both surfaces eliminates the interference fringes (etalon effect) caused by parallel plates and produces a small, controllable beam deflection. An optional 2D precision adjustment mount is available for convenient alignment and mounting on standard optical tables or optomechanical systems.
Applications
- Femtosecond / picosecond laser systems
- Interferometry
- Nonlinear optics experiments
- High-stability beam-path alignment
Construction & Performance
- Substrate: UVFS (UVFS 7980 OF)
- Coating: Dielectric Coating (AR@700-1400nm)
- Dimensions: 50.0 × 20.0 × 10.0 mm
- Wavelength range: 700.0–1400.0 nm
- Angle of Incidence: 0°
Storage & Handling
Store in a clean, dry environment at 25 °C and 40–60% relative humidity. Handle with lint-free materials and avoid mechanical contact with the optical surfaces. If a surface becomes contaminated, gently wipe it with ≥99% alcohol and lint-free lens tissue; do not use coarse cloth, water, or cleaners containing abrasive particles.
