Overview

The 1030nm Chirped Mirror -600fs² (Optoman PP-UVFS-50.0-12.5-GTI7) is a chirped mirror that delivers -600 fs² of negative group delay dispersion per bounce, a high-efficiency choice for external CPA compressor stages across the 1010–1050 nm operating bandwidth.

At -600 fs²/bounce, this mirror reduces total bounce count for typical CPA stretcher dispersion (~3000–10000 fs²) by 3–5× compared with low-GDD designs, lowering scatter loss and beam-quality degradation. Multilayer dielectric coating designed for simultaneous high reflectance and controlled phase response.

Construction & Performance

Manufactured on a 50 mm diameter × 12 mm thick UV fused silica (UVFS) substrate with ion beam sputtered (IBS) dielectric multilayer coating, >99.8% reflectance specified as Rp & Rs >99.8% @ 1010 - 1050 nm, AOI=0-10°. The mirror operates at 0° angle of incidence and is specified for both p- and s-polarization. Surface flatness /s2: <λ/8@633 nm per ca = 25 mm, surface quality /s2: 20-10 s-d per ca. The IBS coating provides exceptional layer density, sub-ppm absorption losses, and long-term spectral stability — characteristics required for dependable performance in high-average-power amplifier chains.

1030 nm Yb-band IBS dielectric coating with optimized GDD flatness ensures consistent dispersion control under typical fs-laser operating conditions. Compatible laser systems include Yb:YAG thin-disk amplifiers, Yb:KGW oscillators (Light Conversion Pharos, Carbide), and Yb:fiber chirped pulse amplifiers.

Storage & Handling

Operate at 25 °C, 40–60% RH. Clean only with >99% optical-grade ethanol and lint-free lens tissue using single-pass drag method. Avoid abrasive cloths and water.
