Overview
The BIM-6805 is a compact near-infrared (NIR) fiber-coupled spectrometer built on a Hamamatsu InGaAs uncooled 128-pixel detector, delivering ultra-low power consumption and stable intensity measurements across the 950-1700 nm band. With an optical resolution of -10nm (pre-configured) and 16-bit A/D conversion, it couples to light sources through a standard SMA905 fiber connector and supports flexible, interchangeable-slit configuration. A single USB 2.0 connection provides both data transfer and power, and RS232 communication is also supported.

Construction & Performance
The spectrometer uses a compact optical-mechanical layout with a Hamamatsu InGaAs uncooled 128-pixel detector (50 μm x 250 μm pixel) for low-power near-infrared detection. It provides 16-bit A/D conversion and integration times from 0.1 ms to 65 s, with multiple trigger modes (normal, software, hardware and synchronization) and an SDK for secondary development and OEM integration. Communication is handled over USB 2.0 and RS232, and the unit runs on USB or 5 V DC power.
Storage & Handling
Operate and store between 5 and 35 °C (25 °C recommended) in a dry, dust-free environment. Keep the SMA905 fiber connector and entrance slit clean and capped when not in use, and avoid mechanical shock to preserve the factory wavelength calibration.
