The SM2 retaining ring from LBTEK is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with a black anodized surface finish. The peripheral groove is compatible with OWR-2A retaining ring key for securing Ø50.8 mm optical components. Typically, two retaining rings are used in lens tubes or coaxial mounts, one for positional fixation and the other for firmly clamping the optical component.
