The refractive index of the gradient-index lens material gradually decreases along the radial direction, achieving purposes such as focusing, collimation, or imaging. Since both gradient-index focusing and collimation occur at the end faces, the lens and optical components can be tightly bonded without air gaps, reducing manufacturing complexity. LBTEK gradient-index lenses have a diameter of 1.8 mm and offer various working wavelength options. Based on their working principle, gradient-index lenses are widely applicable in fiber optic scenarios.
