Single-wavelength (635 nm) liquid crystal polarization rotator: LCVR + polymer true zero-order QWP combination for continuous >180° rotation of linearly polarized light, Ø10 mm clear aperture.

Overview

The LBTEK Liquid Crystal Polarization Rotator (LCPR) is fabricated based on a Liquid Crystal Variable Retarder (LCVR) and a polymer true zero-order Quarter-Wave Plate (QWP), mounted in a mechanical housing with attached wiring.

Composed of a liquid crystal variable retarder and a polymer true zero-order quarter-wave plate, supplemented with a mechanical housing and wiring.

LBTEK enables continuous polarization direction rotation of the incident linearly polarized light over 180° without relying on mechanical structures, while maintaining the emergent light's energy unchanged.
