Metal-coated mirrors are highly suitable for deflecting light paths of broadband light sources, offering high reflectivity across a wide spectral range. LBTEK provides both protected and unprotected gold-coated flat mirrors, available in circular and rectangular shapes. The protected gold-coated mirrors feature a layer of silicon dioxide protective coating on the surface to isolate the metal film from direct external contact, preventing scratches that could affect optical performance. Unprotected gold-coated mirrors exhibit higher reflectivity than their protected counterparts but are more fragile and prone to surface scratches.
