Overview
LBTek's Quartz Multi-Order Quarter-Wave Plates deliver a quarter-wave (λ/4) retardance at the design wavelength using a single quartz plate whose thickness is chosen so that the optical path difference equals mλ+λ/4 (where m is a positive integer). Multi-order construction enables a single thicker plate to replace a compound zero-order design, reducing cost while preserving high transmission and damage threshold. Each plate is anti-reflection V-coated on both surfaces (R < 0.25% @ design wavelength, 6° incidence angle) and is supplied as an unmounted optical element.
