GLACIER® is a precision Cavity-Ringdown (CRD) Reflectometer and Loss Meter that utilizes cavity-ring-down spectroscopy to measure reflectivity, transmission, scattering and absorption of high-end optical coatings — with single ppm sensitivity.
GLACIER uses CW laser sources and is the foundation of UFI's GLACIER family of metrology instruments. It is essential for characterizing low-loss mirrors used in gravitational-wave detectors, optical-frequency combs, atomic clocks and resonant cavity experiments.
