LBTEK offers standard uncoated Germanium (Ge) high-precision windows. These uncoated windows operate within a wavelength range from 2.0 μm to 16.0 μm, exhibiting high transmittance across the entire spectral band. For details, see the transmittance curve. Due to Germanium's broad infrared transmission spectrum, it is highly suitable for infrared laser applications. Germanium's opacity in the visible light spectrum also allows it to function as a long-pass filter, transmitting wavelengths above 2.0 μm. The spectral transmittance of Germanium is highly sensitive to temperature. At an ambient temperature of 100°C, the material's absorption increases significantly, becoming nearly opaque, and at 200°C, it becomes completely opaque. Safety Notice: Germanium contains hazardous substances. While operation, wear gloves, a particulate-filtering respirator, chemical safety goggles, and impermeable protective clothing. Wash hands thoroughly after operation.

Additionally, hands should be washed after operation. All LBTEK circular lenses can be mounted in LBTEK standard lens sleeves, fixed lens holders, and various coaxial mounting plates.
