LBTek Polarization Gratings (PG) without protective glass are fabricated based on liquid crystal polymer birefringent materials, featuring a single-substrate bare die configuration with side arrow for correct incident direction indication.
The fast-axis orientation of liquid crystal molecules exhibits a periodic continuous gradient along the x-direction, maintaining half-wave retardation across the entire device plane. These polarization gratings possess polarization-dependent optical characteristics, achieving tunable energy-splitting ratios for beam splitting or enabling non-mechanical beam scanning.
