Silver-nanoparticle thin-film linear polarizer, operating wavelength 510 nm-800 nm, extinction ratio >1000:1@510 nm-800 nm; >10000:1@520 nm-720 nm; >100000:1@530 nm-640 nm, thickness 2.0 mm.

Overview

These nanoparticle thin-film linear polarizers are manufactured by embedding elongated silver nanoparticles in soda-lime glass. Compared to polymer polarizers, they offer higher extinction ratio, higher damage threshold, and a broader operating temperature range. Seven types are offered, covering operating wavelengths 365 nm-395 nm and 480 nm-5000 nm, each with characteristic extinction ratios. Good performance is maintained within ±20° angle of incidence.
